Bohemian Betyars

Easily one of the most bizarre and infectious bands you will see at Eurosonic. Citing influences like Manu Chao and Gogol Bordello to System of a Down,Bohemian Betyars is a band where folk meets rock. Or rather: where speed folk meets freak punk. The band name is derived from the Hungarian words Bohém (cheerful people living an unconventional lifestyle) and Betyár (18th century outlaw bandits turned folk heros). Nowadays it stands for a well seasoned Hungarian party band that gets any crowd moving with their rocking punk and ska with Balkan and Gipsy spices.
