IMPALA reveals new ‘100 Artists to Watch’ list

In March IMPALA (Independent Music Companies Association) announced the 2023 edition of its ‘100 Artists to Watch’ list, which puts the spotlight on key independent artists across Europe. It includes musicians from 30 countries across more than 35 genres, with some familiar names (Wet Leg, Raye) rubbing shoulders with brand new talents from across the continent. This time the hungarian istrumental electronic band, Freakin’ Disco is on the list, as well. Besides the hype, the program provides the selected musicians with partnership opportunities to develop their YouTube channels.

Helen Smith, Executive Chair, IMPALA commented: “The 100 Artists to Watch programme has already achieved great visibility for independent artists and record labels. We hope this encourages both cross-border circulation and official recognition for the creative and innovative work by the independent sector. We have a mix of artists that have just been recognised during award season and others who are literally just emerging now. We are delighted to be working with YouTube again to support artistic and audience development to boost diversity across the European music sector”.
